A new show for Cheryl to serve as Halter Superintendent is the Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies Fall Festival. It is the weekend of November 10th, 2007, and is taking place at The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. This one is going to be fun because Ted is going along as the assistant, as the show only contracted Executive Show Services for the Halter Superintendent. The show is going through some rapid growth, over 150 entries more than last year, so she's going to need the help.

The International Alpaca Odyssey is a unique alpaca event that is returning this year, after much work by the Event Manager, Kay Rodriguez, to beautiful Del Mar, California. It is being held March 14, 15, 16, 2008, at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Ted and Cheryl are both participating in the organization and implementation of the show, rather than showing animals. Ted will be the barn manager at the event, and is serving on the IAO Board this year. Cheryl will be working for Executive Show Services staffing the registration desk during the check-in process and then switching to gatekeeper for the three days of competition. This is her first year serving on the IAO Board. She is in charge of the sponsorships, so feel free to grab your checkbook and sponsor the International Alpaca Odyssey. This year, the judges will be Charlene Friedman from the United States, Jenny Jackson from Australia, and Jane Tellier from Canada. All three judges will work together to make the placements. Dr. Julio Sumar will still be a part of the IAO by doing seminars and paid evaluations of animals. Because it is an International Show, the halter judging is 60% fiber and 40% confirmation. The other aspect that makes this show stand out from a normal AOBA show is that classes are not split based on the number of entries. What this means is that an animal may compete in a class of 25 animals, rather than the maximum 16 in an AOBA show. Exhibitors are just happy to make the cut down to 6 or 10 alpacas in the ring for final placement, and ecstatic if they actually receive a ribbon.

Another new show for Cheryl and Executive Show Services will be the 2008 Alpacapalooza in Puyallup, Washington. It's just outside of Seattle and is an 800 animal, Level V show. It takes place April 4, 5, & 6, and will be in three rings with three judges over three days. This one is going to require a full crew, so many of the ESS contractors will be with her on this one.

April 12th & 13th brings the Alpaca Western Extravaganza to Portland, Oregon. Cheryl will, again, serve as Halter Superintendent and Joyce Judy will be the Fleece Superintendent. This is another Level V show and is the third year that Executive Show Services has been involved in this show.

The California Classic is in its third year now and is taking place April 26th & 27th, 2008, in Pleasanton, California. Cheryl will again be working for Executive Show Services as the Halter Show Superintendent. This show is put on by the AOBA affiliate, Calpaca. There will be approximately 500 halter entries, as well as performance classes.

The Monterey Pronk is September 27th & 28th, 2008, in beautiful Monterey, California. Last year was the biggest year ever, in every aspect. This year should be no different. Cheryl will be the Halter Show Superintendent for over 500 entries, on behalf of Executive Show Services. www.calpaca.org/pronk
